Latest flood alert advice from the Environment Agency: Heavy rainfall last week caused river levels to rise in the North Kesteven catchment. These watercourses are fed by groundwater sources, which means they will remain high for many days or even weeks after the rain has stopped. There will be some continued flooding of low lying land and roads close to rivers. Stay safe and be aware of your local surroundings do not walk on flood banks. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses, and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. We are continuing to monitor the weather forecast and river levels and have staff in the field checking for and clearing blockages in this location. This message will be updated Wednesday 13th November or as the situation changes.
