Latest flood alert advice from the Environment Agency: Heavy rain is expected throughout the day on Thursday 15 January, river levels are expected to rise leading to increased flooding of low lying land and roads around Great Stour and the River East Stour, particularly in and around Great Chart. We continue to monitor rainfall and river levels. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 6:00pm on 15 January 2026 or as the situation changes.
