Great Western Railway between London Paddington / Reading and Didcot Parkway

Description of Incident

Engineering work is taking place between Reading and Didcot Parkway, closing 1 of the 4 lines.

Trains from London Paddington / Reading to Didcot Parkway will continue to call at Pangbourne.

The following trains will be amended to not call at Pangbourne:

  • The 20:06 (starting at 20:01) Didcot Parkway to London Paddington service.
  • The 20:38 Didcot Parkway to London Paddington service.
  • The 21:09 (departing 21:00) Didcot Parkway to London Paddington service.
  • The 21:35 Didcot Parkway to London Paddington service.
  • The 22:04 Didcot Parkway to Reading service.

If you are using these trains and travelling from Pangbourne towards Reading, you should travel by rail to Goring & Streatley, then change for trains towards Reading and beyond.

If you are using these trains and travelling to Pangbourne from the Didcot Parkway direction, you should travel by rail to Tilehurst and change for trains towards Pangbourne.

Additionally, the following trains will not call at Pangbourne:

  • The 23:08 Didcot Parkway to Reading service.
  • The 23:45 Didcot Parkway to London Paddington (terminating at Ealing Broadway) service.

Replacement buses will run between Tilehurst and Pangbourne, connecting with these trains.
