Great Western Railway between London Paddington / Reading and Exeter St Davids / Totnes/ Plymouth Penzance; and also between Cardiff Central / Bristol Temple Meads and Portsmouth Harbour; and also between Gloucester / Bristol Temple Meads and Worcester

Description of Incident

Engineering work is taking place between Wilton and Yeovil Junction, closing all lines. ​​​​​​​

Great Western Railway:

As a result of engineering work, South Western Railway will be diverting their trains over the route between Westbury and Yeovil Pen Mill via Castle Cary. As a result of this there will be some minor retimings to services in the Westbury area.

Additionally, the following amendments will apply:

Saturday:

  • The 07:33, 09:30 and 11:30 Weymouth to Gloucester services will not call at Oldfield Park. If you are travelling to / from Oldfield Park you should use alternative services.

Monday to Friday:

  • The 09:30, 11:29 and 13:28 Weymouth to Gloucester services will not call at Oldfield Park. If you are travelling to / from Oldfield Park you should use alternative services.

South Western Railway:

Saturday:

Trains between London Waterloo and Exeter St Davids will either run on a diversionary route via Westbury or terminate at Salisbury.

Trains between London Waterloo and Salisbury will be retimed.

Sunday:

Trains between London Waterloo and Exeter St Davids will either run on a diversionary route via Westbury or terminate at Salisbury.

Trains between London Waterloo and Salisbury will be retimed.

Trains between Reading and Salisbury will only run between Basingstoke and Salisbury.

Afternoon trains between Yeovil Pen Mill / Gillingham / Salisbury and London Waterloo will start from Salisbury.

Monday to Friday:

Trains between London Waterloo and Exeter St Davids will either run on a diversionary route via Westbury or terminate at Salisbury.

Trains between London Waterloo and Salisbury will be retimed.

Trains between Reading and Salisbury will only run between Basingstoke and Salisbury.

Additional services will run between:

  • Exeter St Davids and Yeovil Junction

Rail replacement buses will run between:

  • Salisbury and Yeovil Junction
