Description of Incident
Engineering work is taking place between Fareham and St Denys, closing all lines.
Great Western Railway:
Trains between Portsmouth Harbour and Bristol Temple Meads / Cardiff Central will divert between Fareham and Romsey, not calling Southampton Central. They will call additionally at Chandlers Ford and Eastleigh. Southampton Central customers should change at Eastleigh for South Western Railway connections to / from Southampton Central.
A few trains from Portsmouth Harbour to Cardiff Central will depart 1 minute earlier than normal.
Monday to Thursday:
The 20:30 Cardiff Central to Portsmouth Harbour service will terminate at Westbury. Customers for beyond Westbury should travel on the 21:21 Bristol Parkway to Portsmouth & Southsea service which will divert between Southampton Central and Fareham. It will call additionally at Southampton Airport Parkway, and also Eastleigh where it will change direction of travel, arriving / departing Fareham and beyond a few minutes later than normal.
Tuesday to Friday:
The 04:50 Fratton to Bristol Temple Meads service will divert as above but will not call at Chandlers Ford.
The 07:03 Salisbury to Bristol Temple Meads service will start from Westbury. Salisbury, Warminster and Dilton Marsh customers should travel on earlier or later services.
South Western Railway:
Monday to Friday:
An amended timetable will be in operation with some services re-timed and others calling additionally at St Denys and Swaythling.
Buses will replace trains between Fareham and Southampton Central.
Southern:
Monday to Friday:
Buses will replace trains between Havant and Southampton Central.
Journeys times will be increased when using replacement buses.
