Description of Incident

Engineering work is taking place between Gillingham and Yeovil Junction, closing some lines from Saturday morning until Friday evening. Although these works do not directly impact GWR services, it means South Western Railway services are diverting.

These diversions will mean a higher number of trains will run on some routes and cause congestion in the area. To ensure GWR services are able to run to a scheduled timetable, some trains have been revised as follows:

Saturday and Monday to Friday:

As a result of diverted trains between Gillingham and Yeovil Junction, some trains from Weymouth to Gloucester will not call at Oldfield Park.

To help people travel to / from Oldfield Park, alternative trains which run between London Paddington and Weston-super-Mare / Taunton will be amended to call additionally at Oldfield Park.

If you are travelling to / from Oldfield Park, you should check your journey as trains may run earlier or later than usual.

Trains on Sunday are not affected by this engineering work.
