Description of Incident

Engineering work is taking place between Cardiff Central and Bridgend, closing some lines overnight from Monday evening until Friday morning.

Monday to Thursday:

  • The 20:48 London Paddington to Swansea will divert between Cardiff Central and Bridgend (via Ninian Park – not calling) arriving / departing Bridgend and beyond a few minutes later than normal
  • The 21:48 London Paddington to Swansea will use this route as normal between Cardiff Central and Bridgend (via Ninian Park – not calling)
  • The 22:46 London Paddington to Swansea will be diverted between Swindon and Bristol Parkway and will further divert between Cardiff Central and Bridgend (via Ninian Park – not calling) arriving / departing Bridgend and beyond later than normal

On Monday and Tuesday, the trains will incur 8 minutes additional journey time between Bridgend and Port Talbot Parkway.
