Description of Incident

Engineering work is taking place between Bedwyn and Newbury / Westbury, closing all lines overnight from Monday evening until Friday morning.

Monday to Thursday:

  • The 21:57 Newbury to Bedwyn will not run and will be replaced by earlier road transport at 21:55 from Newbury to Kintbury, Hungerford and Bedwyn
  • The 22:25 Bedwyn to Newbury will not run and will be replaced by earlier road transport from Bedwyn to Hungerford, Kintbury and Newbury. This bus connects at Newbury with the 22:47 Newbury to Reading service
  • The 22:30 London Paddington to Bedwyn will terminate at Newbury. Road transport will be provided from Newbury to Kintbury, Hungerford and Bedwyn
  • The 22:47 Newbury to Bedwyn will not run, and will be replaced by road transport from Newbury to Kintbury, Hungerford and Bedwyn
  • The 23:17 Bedwyn to Reading will start from Newbury at 23:34. Earlier road transport will run from Bedwyn to Hungerford, Kintbury and Newbury to connect into the train. Also, road transport will run at 23:35 from Bedwyn, Hungerford and Kintbury, setting down only at Newbury, Thatcham and Reading

Buses serve railway stations (forecourt / car park / entrance), except at Kintbury which is at the Level Crossing by Station Road.

Tuesday to Friday:

The 06:12 Frome to London Paddington service will start from Westbury at 06:22. You can use an earlier rail connection at 06:07 from Frome to Westbury, at no extra cost. Please note the earlier than normal departure time from Frome.
