Description of Incident

Engineering work is taking place between Cardiff Central and Bridgend, closing some lines overnight from Monday evening until Friday morning.

Monday to Thursday:

The 20:48 London Paddington to Swansea service will be diverted between Cardiff Central and Bridgend (via Ninian Park – not calling) calling at Bridgend and beyond a few minutes later than normal.

The 21:48 London Paddington to Swansea service will divert between Cardiff Central and Bridgend (via Barry – not calling) calling at Bridgend and beyond later than normal.

The 22:46 London Paddington to Swansea service will divert between Cardiff Central and Bridgend (via Barry – not calling) calling at Bridgend and beyond later than normal. On Wednesday and Thursday nights, this train will run a few minutes later than usual between Bristol Parkway and Newport.

Tuesday to Friday:

The 03:46 Swansea to London Paddington service will depart earlier than usual at 03:38. It will call at Neath, Port Talbot Parkway and Bridgend a few minutes earlier than normal before diverting between Bridgend and Cardiff Central (via Barry – not calling). The train will run normally from Cardiff Central.
