Description of Incident

Engineering work is taking place between Cholsey and Appleford and also between Southall and Slough, closing various lines.

Until 09:20

From London Paddington:

The 07:36 London Paddington to Great Malvern service will start from Oxford. An earlier replacement bus will depart from Reading and Didcot Parkway to Oxford to connect into the train.

The 07:38 London Paddington to Didcot Parkway service will terminate Reading. A replacement bus will be provided from Reading to Tilehurst, Pangbourne, Goring & Streatley, Cholsey and Didcot Parkway.

The 08:05 London Paddington to Exeter St Davids service will start from Swindon. An earlier replacement bus will be provided from Reading to Swindon, and also from Didcot Parkway to Swindon to connect into the train.

The 08:33 (departing 08:23) London Paddington to Swansea service will depart Reading 09:09, then operate later than normal throughout.

The 08:36 London Paddington to Didcot Parkway service will depart 08:46 and operate later than normal throughout.

The 10:07 London Paddington to Bristol Parkway service will depart 10:16. It will not call Slough, Maidenhead and Twyford.

To London Paddington:

The 07:45 Bristol Temple Meads to London Paddington service will change direction of travel at Chippenham before diverting between there and Reading (via Newbury – not calling). It will not call at Swindon or Didcot Parkway and will arrive London Paddington approximately 40 minutes later than normal. An earlier replacement bus will depart from Swindon to Didcot Parkway, also from Swindon to Reading for rail connections to London Paddington.

The 07:54 Oxford to London Paddington service will start from Reading. Customers from Oxford and Didcot Parkway should travel later.

The 08:18 Didcot Parkway to London Paddington service will start from Reading. A replacement bus will be provided from Didcot Parkway, Cholsey, Goring & Streatley and Tilehurst to Reading for connections to Slough and London Paddington.

The 08:30 Bristol Parkway to London Paddington service will terminate Swindon, connecting into the 09:25 (departing 09:04) Swindon to London Paddington service.

The 08:37 Swindon to London Paddington service will start from Reading. Customers from Swindon and Didcot Parkway should travel later.

The 09:02 Oxford to London Paddington service will start from Didcot Parkway at 09:34 and will operate later than normal throughout. It will not call Slough. An earlier replacement bus will be provided from Oxford to Didcot Parkway.

The 09:19 Didcot Parkway to London Paddington service will not run.

The 09:25 Swindon to London Paddington will depart earlier at 09:04 and will call additionally Cholsey, Goring & Streatley, Pangbourne, Tilehurst, Twyford, Maidenhead and Slough.

From London Paddington:

Most trains from London Paddington to Swansea / Carmarthen will depart 10 minutes earlier than normal.

Most trains from London Paddington to Exeter St Davids / Paignton / Plymouth / Penzance (via Newbury) will depart 1-4 minutes earlier than normal.

Most fast trains from London Paddington to Swindon (some beyond) will depart at xx:07 past the hour and will call additionally Slough, Maidenhead and Twyford.

Most fast trains from London Paddington to Oxford will not run.

Most trains from London Paddington to Worcester / Great Malvern / Hereford will depart 9 minutes earlier than normal and will not call at Radley. (Additional trains will operate from Didcot Parkway and Radley to Oxford. The first of these trains will start from Reading).

To London Paddington:

Trains to London Paddington will arrive in revised timings, most later than normal.

Most fast trains from Oxford to London Paddington will not run.

Most trains from Hereford / Great Malvern / Worcester to London Paddington will not call at Radley. (Additional trains will operate from Oxford and Radley to Didcot Parkway. The last of these trains will continue to Reading).

Most fast trains from Swindon (some beyond) to London Paddington will call additionally Twyford, Maidenhead and Slough. They will operate in revised timings.

Local Services:

For most of the day the hourly service between London Paddington and Didcot Parkway will operate between Reading and Didcot Parkway only. The hourly service of fast trains between London Paddington and Swindon (some beyond) (operating in revised timings) will call additionally Slough, Maidenhead and Twyford.
