Description of Incident

Engineering work is taking place between London Kings Cross and Stevenage, closing lines via Welwyn Garden City.

Grand Central:

All trains will be diverted to run via Hertford North, extending journey times by a few minutes.

Additionally on Sunday, the following trains will not run:

  • 15:59 Bradford Interchange to London Kings Cross
  • 18:53 London Kings Cross to Bradford Interchange

Great Northern and Thameslink:

All day on Saturday and Sunday no trains will run between Alexandra Palace and Stevenage via Welwyn Garden City.

A revised train service will run between:

  • London Kings Cross and Peterborough / Cambridge / Ely / Kings Lynn, diverting via Hertford North
  • Stevenage and Ely (Saturday only) / Cambridge (Sunday only).
  • Moorgate and Alexandra Palace / Finsbury Park / Hertford North

Buses will replace trains between:

  • St Albans City and Stevenage via Hatfield, Welwyn Garden City, Welwyn North, and Knebworth
  • Hertford North and Stevenage via Watton-at-Stone
  • Alexandra Palace and Welwyn Garden City via Cockfosters, calling at all stations except Hadley Wood
  • Cockfosters and Potters Bar via Hadley Wood

Paper tickets will be accepted on London Underground services between Kings Cross St Pancras and Cockfosters.

LNER:

A reduced service of three trains per hour will run to / from London Kings Cross via a diverted route between London Kings Cross and Stevenage, departing up to 15 minutes earlier than usual.

Some services that normally run between London Kings Cross and Leeds / York will run between Peterborough and Leeds / York only.

Hull Trains:

All trains will be diverted between Alexandra Palace and Stevenage via Hertford North, extending journey times.

Lumo:

All trains will be diverted between Alexandra Palace and Stevenage via Hertford North.
