Latest flood alert advice from the Environment Agency: River levels remain high because of recent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is expected to continue. We expect flooding to affect low lying land and roads adjacent the river from Highley to Tewkesbury. Locations affected are Stourport, Holt Fleet, Worcester, Kempsey, Severn Stoke and Upton upon Severn. Install property level protection if required. Observed peaks:- Bewdley 4.51m 10/12/24, Worcester 4.96m 11/12/2024, Kempsey Yacht Club 6.53m 11/12/24, Saxons Lode 4.89m 11/12/24. No significant rainfall is forecast. We expect river levels to remain high over the next few days. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated by 11am on Friday, 13/12/2024, or as the situation changes.
