Latest flood alert advice from the Environment Agency: Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels are high on the River Dikler as a result of recent rainfall. Flooding of low lying land and roads is possible today, 7 October 2024. Further rainfall is expected today and tomorrow. Rainfall could be heavy in some places. River levels are expected to remain high over the coming days and levels remain sensitive to further rainfall. We are monitoring the situation. Our staff have been out checking and clearing trash screens. Avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and do not drive through flood water. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 8 October 2024, or as the situation changes.
