Description of Incident

Engineering work is taking place between London Paddington and Heathrow Airport / Reading, closing all lines before 07:20 and 2 out of 4 lines for the rest of the day.

Elizabeth Line

Until 07:40

Services between Shenfield / Abbey Wood and Heathrow Airport stations / Reading will run between Ealing Broadway and Heathrow Airport stations / Reading only.

After 07:40

Services between Abbey Wood and Maidenhead will run between Abbey Wood and London Paddington only.

Services to / from Ealing Broadway / Southall / Hayes & Harlington / Heathrow Airport stations / West Drayton / Langley / Slough / Burnham / Reading will run a reduced service and an amended timetable.

No trains will call at Acton Main Line, West Ealing and Hanwell.

Great Western Railway

Long distance services:

Trains between London Paddington and Swindon / Swansea / Carmarthen / Exeter St Davids / Paignton / Plymouth / Penzance will be retimed to run up to 8 minutes earlier or later than usual.

Most fast trains from London Paddington to Swindon (a few beyond) will be retimed, and will call additionally at Slough, Maidenhead and Twyford.

Most fast trains between London Paddington and Oxford will not run.

Most trains between London Paddington and Worcester Shrub Hill / Worcester Foregate Street / Great Malvern / Hereford will not call at Radley. Additional trains will operate from Didcot Parkway and Radley to Oxford.

Local services:

The 06:20 Reading to London Paddington will depart at 06:36 and will operate later throughout.

The 06:38 London Paddington to Didcot Parkway will start from Ealing Broadway. London Underground connections are available from Central London to Ealing Broadway.

The 08:36 London Paddington to Didcot Parkway will depart 08:47, then for most of the day the hourly service between London Paddington and Didcot Parkway will operate between Reading and Didcot Parkway only.

The hourly service of fast trains between London Paddington and Swindon (some beyond) (operating in revised timings) will call additionally at Slough, Maidenhead and Twyford.

Heathrow Express

No Heathrow Express services will operate before 07:40.

Replacement shuttle services will operate between Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3 and Heathrow Terminal 5 before 07:46 and after 22:57.

From 09:40, a reduced service will operate between London Paddington and Heathrow Terminal 2 & 3 / Heathrow Terminal 5. The last service of the day will depart Heathrow Heathrow Terminal 5 at 23:57.
