Description of Incident
Engineering work is taking place between Bedford and London St Pancras International, closing all lines.
East Midlands Railway:
An amended timetable will run, with trains starting and terminating at Luton instead of London St Pancras International.
A rail replacement bus service will run to / from Luton and Hitchin, where you can connect with Great Northern / Thameslink services to / from London Kings Cross / London St Pancras International.
Thameslink:
Saturday:
A revised train service will run between:
- Bedford and Luton
- London Bridge and Rainham
- Kentish Town and Sutton via Wimbledon
- Streatham and Sutton via Mitcham Junction
- West Hampstead Thameslink and Brighton / Three Bridges
Sunday:
A revised train service will run between:
- Bedford and Luton
- London Bridge and Gillingham
- Kentish Town and Sutton via Wimbledon. No Thameslink trains will run between Streatham and Sutton via Mitcham Junction, paper rail tickets will be accepted at no extra cost on London Buses and on London Trams to complete your journey.
- West Hampstead Thameslink and Brighton / Horsham / Three Bridges
On both days, replacement buses will run between:
- Luton and West Hampstead Thameslink
And for alternative trains to / from London between:
- Luton Airport Parkway and Hitchin via Luton – your tickets will be accepted on Great Northern / Thameslink services at no extra cost between Hitchin and London.
- Harpenden and Potters Bar via St Albans – your tickets will be accepted on Great Northern / Thameslink services at no extra cost between Potters Bar and London.
Additionally, between approximately 00:10 and 08:05 on Sunday, buses will replace trains between Luton and Bedford.
