Latest flood alert advice from the Environment Agency: Due to recent rainfall, river levels remain high but steady. Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads including Willington, Barrow upon Trent, Swarkestone, Bargate Lane and the access roads to Willington Meadows, the Twyford Village access road, Church Lane at Barrow, and Ingleby Lane. River levels at Willington Gauge and Shardlow Gauge will continue to remain high over the next few days. We are closely monitoring the situation. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 9:00 AM on 11 December 2025, or as the situation changes.
