Great Western Railway between Cardiff Central / Bristol Temple Meads and Portsmouth Harbour

South Western Railway between London Waterloo and Poole / Weymouth and also between Southampton Central and Portsmouth Harbour

Southern between Southampton Central and Brighton

Description of Incident

Engineering work is taking place between Southampton and Bournemouth, closing all lines.

No trains will run via Southampton Central.

CrossCountry:

Buses will run between:

  • Eastleigh and Southampton Central / Bournemouth.
  • Southampton Airport Parkway and Southampton Central / Bournemouth.

Great Western Railway:

Trains between Cardiff Central and Portsmouth Harbour will divert between Romsey and Fareham (via Chandlers Ford and Eastleigh where they will call additionally). They will not call Southampton Central.

Replacement buses will operate (hourly) between Eastleigh and Southampton Central taking 20 minutes.

South Western Railway:

An amended timetable will operate, trains will not call at Southampton Central.

Replacement buses will operate between:

  • Eastleigh and Romsey.
  • Eastleigh and New Milton.
  • Eastleigh and Bournemouth.
  • Brockenhurst and Lymington.
  • Southampton Central and Fareham.
  • Southampton Central and Bournemouth.

Southern:

Buses will replace trains between Havant and Southampton Central.

Trains which usually run between Brighton and Southampton Central will be diverted to run between Brighton and Portsmouth Harbour calling additionally at Fratton.

Journey times will be increased on replacement buses.
