Description of Incident
Engineering work is taking place between Reading and Basingstoke, closing all lines.
CrossCountry:
Trains will be diverted between Reading and Southampton Central, not calling at Basingstoke, Winchester or Southampton Airport Parkway. Journey times will be extended by up to 60 minutes.
Replacement buses will run between Reading, Basingstoke and Winchester. For Southampton Airport Parkway, you should use other services instead.
Great Western Railway:
Buses will replace trains between Reading and Basingstoke.
Buses will run hourly throughout the day, and will call at Reading Green Park, Mortimer, Bramley and Basingstoke. For Reading West, you should use Reading – Newbury / Bedwyn services.
South Western Railway:
Buses will replace trains between:
- Basingstoke and Southampton Central
- Basingstoke and Fareham
- Southampton Central and Romsey via Eastleigh
