South Western Railway between London Waterloo and Basingstoke / Portsmouth Harbour / Poole / Weymouth; and also between Salisbury and Romsey

Description of Incident

Engineering work is taking place in the Winchester and St Denys, closing some lines. ​​​​​​​

CrossCountry:

Trains will not run via Winchester / Southampton Airport Parkway. Between Basingstoke and Southampton, trains will be diverted to run via Andover / Dean, extending journey times. A reduced service will run between Southampton Central and Bournemouth.

You can use South Western Railway buses / trains to complete your journey.

South Western Railway:

Platforms 20 – 24 of London Waterloo will be closed.

Trains between London Waterloo and Poole will start / terminate at Southampton Central.

Trains between London Waterloo and Weymouth may be retimed and will divert via Guildford, calling additionally at Guildford, Havant and Fareham.

Trains between Salisbury and Romsey will operate between Salisbury and Southampton Central only.

Some trains between London Waterloo / Eastleigh and Portsmouth Harbour will start / terminate at Winchester. Some of these services will call additionally at Farnborough and Micheldever.

Additional services will run between:

  • London Waterloo and Winchester

Rail replacement buses will run between:

  • Winchester and Southampton Central
  • Winchester and Fareham
  • Romsey and Southampton Central
