Description of Incident
Engineering work is taking place between Leeds and York, closing all lines and blocking some access to train depots on Saturday and Sunday.
CrossCountry:
Friday to Sunday:
On Friday, CrossCountry will operate early morning buses between Leeds and York.
CrossCountry services will not run between Leeds and York. These trains will be diverted to run on alternative routes.
Most trains will not call at Leeds or Wakefield Westgate, you should use alternative train services to complete your journey.
LNER:
Saturday and Sunday:
An amended service will operate, some trains will not run or will start / terminate at stations different from normally advertised. You can find more information on this page.
Northern:
Friday to Sunday:
No trains will run via Micklefield.
Trains between Blackpool North and York will run between Blackpool North and Leeds only.
Trains between Halifax and Hull will run between Halifax and Leeds only.
Replacement bus services will run between Leeds and York, and between Leeds and Selby.
TransPennine Express:
Saturday and Sunday:
An hourly train service will run between:
- Liverpool Lime Street and Newcastle
- Manchester Victoria and Redcar Central (via Castleford)
- York and Scarborough
- Leeds and Hull
Additionally, until approximately 12:00 on Sunday, trains which normally run between Manchester Piccadilly and York via Wakefield Kirkgate will run between Manchester Piccadilly and Huddersfield only.
Replacement bus services will run between Manchester Airport and Huddersfield.
