Description of Incident

Engineering work is taking place between Leeds and Moorthorpe / Doncaster, closing all lines via Wakefield Westgate.

CrossCountry:

Trains will be diverted between Leeds and Sheffield, and will not call at Wakefield Westgate.

Replacement buses will run between Wakefield Westgate and Sheffield. For travel between Leeds and Wakefield Westgate, you should use alternative services.

Grand Central:

Saturday:

the following services to / from Bradford Interchange will be diverted to run via Pontefract Monkhill:

  • The 10:48 London Kings Cross to Bradford Interchange service.
  • The 15:25 London Kings Cross to Bradford Interchange service.
  • The 16:27 London Kings Cross to Bradford Interchange service.

Sunday:

All Grand Central services to / from Bradford Interchange will be diverted to run via Pontefract Monkhill.

LNER:

An amended hourly service will run between Leeds and London Kings Cross, with trains being diverted between Leeds and Doncaster and not calling at Wakefield Westgate.

Replacement buses will run between Wakefield Westgate and Doncaster.

If you are travelling between Leeds and Wakefield Westgate you should use other operators services.

Northern:

Buses will replace trains between:

  • Wakefield Westgate and Doncaster.
  • Wakefield Westgate and Moorthorpe.

Trains between Leeds and Knottingley via Wakefield services will call additionally at Outwood.

Trains between Leeds and Knottingley via Castleford are unaffected by this engineering work, and will run normally.
