Description of Incident
Engineering work is taking place in the Southampton and Brockenhurst areas, closing various lines.
CrossCountry:
On Saturday, trains from the north will terminate at, and start back from Southampton Central. Replacement road transport will operate direct between Bournemouth and Southampton Airport Parkway to connect with the trains.
On Sunday, trains from the north will terminate at, and start back from Eastleigh. Replacement road transport will operate between Bournemouth / Southampton Central / Southampton Airport Parkway and Eastleigh to connect with the trains.
Great Western Railway:
On Sunday, buses replace trains between Eastleigh and Southampton Central.
South Western Railway:
Due to engineering work in the Southampton and Brockenhurst areas, significant service changes will be made:
Saturday:
- London Waterloo to Weymouth services will be revised with some extra stops, and will terminate at Southampton Central. A revised train service will run between Bournemouth, Poole and Weymouth. A mixture of ‘fast’ and ‘stopping’ buses will run between Southampton Airport Parkway / Southampton Central / Brockenhurst / Bournemouth
- Winchester to Southampton Central stopping services and Southampton Central to Bournemouth stopping services will not run
- Salisbury to Romsey via Southampton Central services will run between Salisbury and Romsey only (passengers for Chandler’s Ford should travel on the diverted Great Western Railway services). Buses will run between Romsey and Southampton Central via Redbridge
- Fareham to Southampton Central services will be replaced by buses
- Brockenhurst to Lymington Pier services will not run, buses will operate between Brockenhurst and Lymington Pier
Sunday:
- London Waterloo to Weymouth services will terminate at Eastleigh. A revised train service will run between Bournemouth, Poole and Weymouth. A mixture of ‘fast’ and ‘stopping’ buses will run between Eastleigh / Southampton Airport Parkway / Southampton Central / Brockenhurst / Bournemouth
- Salisbury to Romsey via Southampton Central services will run between Salisbury and Romsey only (passengers for Chandler’s Ford should travel on the diverted Great Western Railway services). Buses will run between Romsey and Southampton Central via Redbridge
- Brockenhurst to Lymington Pier services will not run, buses will operate between Brockenhurst and Lymington Pier

Saturday and Sunday:
Buses will replace trains between Havant and Southampton Central.
Journey times will be increased when using replacement buses.
