Description of Incident
Engineering work is taking place between London Euston and Wembley Central and also between Wembley Central and Bletchley, closing some lines on Saturday and all lines on Sunday and Monday.
Avanti West Coast:
On Saturday the following amended service will operate:
An hourly service will operate between London Euston and Crewe via Birmingham New Street.
2 trains per hour will operate between London Euston and Birmingham New Street.
An hourly service will operate between London Euston and Liverpool Lime Street.
2 trains per hour will operate between London Euston and Manchester Piccadilly via Stoke-on-Trent.
An hourly service will operate between London Euston and Preston with some services extending to Carlisle (Diverted Bolton).
Normal service on the North Wales Coast running through to London Euston.
The following replacement bus plan will be in operation between:
- Crewe and Preston
- Carlisle and Glasgow Central
- Macclesfield and Wilmslow
Sunday and Monday
No trains between London Euston and Milton Keynes Central . Trains will start / terminate at Milton Keynes Central.
1 train per hour will operate between Milton Keynes Central and Manchester Piccadilly via Stoke-0n-Trent.
1 train per hour will operate between Milton Keynes Central and Preston with some services extending to Carlisle (Diverted via Bolton) (Sunday only).
1 train per hour will operate between Milton Keynes Central and Preston (Diverted via Bolton) (Monday only).
1 train every 2 hours will operate between Preston and Edinburgh. (Monday only)
1 train per hour will operate between Milton Keynes Central and Crewe via Birmingham New Street.
1 train per hour will operate between Rugby and Liverpool Lime Street.
North Wales Coast services run between Crewe and Holyhead only.
The following replacement bus plan will be in operation between:
- Milton Keynes and Bedford
- Crewe and Preston
- Carlisle and Glasgow Central
- Macclesfield and Wilmslow
Caledonian Sleeper:
Due to the engineering work, Caledonian Sleeper services will not run to / from London Euston and will instead be diverted to run to / from London Kings Cross.
As a result, the following services will be affected:
Sunday
The 20:20 London Euston to Inverness / Fort William service will start from London Kings Cross at 21:15 and will not call at Crewe or Preston.
The 20:25 Inverness / 19:00 Fort William to London Euston service will not call at Preston or Crewe, and will terminate at London Kings Cross at 07:40.
The 21:30 London Euston to Edinburgh / Glasgow Central service will start from London Kings Cross at 22:45 and will not call at Watford Junction or Carlisle.
The 21:45 Glasgow Central / 23:25 Edinburgh to London Euston service will depart from Glasgow Central at 21:45 will not call at Motherwell, Carstairs, Carlisle, or Watford Junction, and will terminate at London Kings Cross at 06:10.
Monday
The 20:45 Inverness / 19:50 Fort William / 20:26 Aberdeen to London Euston service will not call at Preston or Crewe, and has been retimed to terminate at London Euston at 08:45.
The 21:15 London Euston to Inverness / Fort William / Aberdeen service will start from London Kings Cross at 21:40, and will not call at Crewe or Preston.
The 23:40 Glasgow Central / Edinburgh to London Euston service will will run to an amended timetable, and will depart from Glasgow Central at 21:40, Edinburgh at 23:25, and will not call at Carlisle or Watford Junction.
The 23:45 London Euston to Glasgow Central / Edinburgh service will start from London Kings Cross at 23:00 and will not call at Watford Junction or Carlisle. This service will arrive at Carstairs at 06:28.
London Northwestern Railway:
Sunday
Train services between London Euston and Milton Keynes Central will not run.
Trains between London Euston and Northampton will not run or will run between Milton Keynes Central and Northampton only.
Rail replacement buses will operate between Potters Bar / Watford Junction and Milton Keynes Central (not calling at Cheddington between 07:00 and 22:00 hours, with shuttle buses operating between Leighton Buzzard and Cheddington). Some early morning / late night buses will run from / to London Euston. You are advised to travel on Thameslink / Great Northern train services between London Kings Cross and Potters Bar.
Train services between London Euston and Birmingham New Street (via Northampton) will run between Milton Keynes Central and Birmingham New Street (via Northampton) only.
Trains between London Euston and Crewe will run between Milton Keynes Central and Crewe only.
Rail replacement buses will operate between Bedford and Milton Keynes Central. You are advised to travel on Thameslink or East Midlands Railway train services between London St Pancras International and Bedford.
Monday
Train services between London Euston and Milton Keynes Central will run between Watford Junction and Milton Keynes Central only – to a special timetable at a reduced level of frequency (from approximately 08:30 hours).
Trains between London Euston and Tring / Bletchley / Northampton which terminate at / start from Tring / Bletchley / Northampton will not run. Rail replacement buses will operate between Potters Bar and Watford Junction (from 08:30) / Milton Keynes Central (until 08:30). Some early morning / late night buses will run from / to London Euston. You are advised to travel on Great Northern / Thameslink train services between London Kings Cross and Potters Bar.
Train services between London Euston and Birmingham New Street (via Northampton) will run between Milton Keynes Central and Birmingham New Street (via Northampton) only.
Trains between London Euston and Crewe will run between Milton Keynes Central and Crewe only. Rail replacement buses will operate between Bedford and Milton Keynes Central. Passengers are advised to travel on Thameslink or East Midlands Railway train services between London St Pancras International and Bedford.

After 20:00, a reduced service of 2 trains per hour will run between London Euston and Watford Junction.
Sunday:
No trains will run between London Euston and Watford Junction.
You can use London Northwestern Railway services between Watford Junction, Bushey, Harrow & Wealdstone and London Euston.
You can use London Bus route 720 between Watford Junction and Harrow Bus Junction, and route 718 between Harrow & Wealdstone and Queens Park at no extra cost.
Additionally, you can use London Buses / London Underground to complete your journey at no extra cost.
Monday:
No trains will run between London Euston and Willesden Junction.
A shuttle train service will run between Willesden Junction and Watford Junction.
You can use London Bus route 718 between Willesden Junction and Queens Park at no extra cost.
