Description of Incident

Engineering work is taking place between Wolverton and Northampton, closing all slow lines.

Avanti West Coast:

The following services will operate due to the route via Northampton being blocked:

  • 1 train per hour between London Euston and Birmingham New Street
  • 1 train per hour London Euston and Liverpool Lime Street
  • 1 train per hour London Euston and Manchester Piccadilly (Via Stoke-on-Trent and Macclesfield)
  • 1 train per hour London Euston and Manchester Piccadilly (Via Crewe and Wilmslow)
  • 1 train per hour London Euston and Preston (via Nuneaton)
  • 1 train per hour London Euston and Preston (via Birmingham New Street)
  • North Wales coast services start / terminate at Crewe

London Northwestern Railway:

Train services between London Euston and Northampton will run between London Euston and Milton Keynes Central only.

Trains between Birmingham New Street and Northampton will run between Birmingham New Street and Rugby only.

Train services between London Euston and Birmingham New Street will be diverted and will not call at Northampton or Long Buckby or will run between London Euston and Milton Keynes Central and between Rugby and Birmingham New Street only.

Trains between London Euston & Crewe (via Northampton) will be diverted and will not call at Northampton or Long Buckby.

The 21:13 Crewe to Northampton service will run between Crewe and Rugby only.

Rail replacement buses will operate between Milton Keynes Central and Northampton and between Rugby and Northampton.
