Description of Incident
Engineering work is taking place between Wolverton and Rugby, closing some lines.
As a result, all services to / from London Euston will be diverted to run via Northampton / Long Buckby. Due to restricted capacity at Northampton, the following amendments will be in affect this weekend:
Avanti West Coast
A reduced and amended service will run across the Avanti West Coast network:
- 1 train per hour between London Euston and Glasgow Central
- 2 trains per hour between London Euston and Manchester Piccadilly (1 via Stoke-on-Trent, and 1 via Crewe)
- 1 train per hour between London Euston and Liverpool Lime Street, calling additionally at Nuneaton
- 1 train per hour between London Euston and Birmingham New Street
- 1 train per hour between London Euston and Blackpool North / Glasgow Central / Edinburgh
- Services that usually run between London Euston and Holyhead will instead run between Crewe and Holyhead only
London Northwestern Railway
Services that usually run between London Euston and Crewe will run between Northampton / Rugby and Crewe only.
Services that usually run between London Euston and Birmingham New Street will run between Rugby and Birmingham New Street only.
Services between London Euston and Tring / Milton Keynes Central / Northampton will run to an amended timetable and will be retimed.
You should use alternative services for travel between London Euston and Northampton / Rugby.
